Pawan Kalyan’s Jana Sena party has come a long way since it was established one year ago. The actor-turned-politician held a couple of public meetings where he quoted Swami Vivekananda, Narendra Modi and Mahatma Gandhi while hailing India as the best country.
Recently, he even paid a visit to the CRDA region in AP capital area to get a ground report of what was happening to farmers’ lives. When Pawan met AP chief minister Chandrababu Naidu and later declared he was to visit the AP capital region, there was buzz that th Jana Sena founder was going there to convince the farmers who had refused to part with their lands. However, Pawan gave everyone a jolt when he became the farmers’ mouthpiece soon after he realised what was happening.
He even vowed to go on a hunger strike if the government tried to forcefully take away farmers’ land and render them homeless in the name of development.
Today on his party’s first anniversary Pawan took a dig at the governments for their apathy towards the poor. He said his party’s name will be synonymous with humanity and will fight for the rights of people.
