Though the ongoing Maggi controversy is creating furore in the food space, the Telangana and Andhra Pradesh governments are yet to take a decision on 
whether to impose a ban or not on the sale of Maggi noodles. While the Telangana Minister for Health C Laxma Reddy said the government would take a decision after it received the report from Institute of Preventive Medicine which was testing the contents of Maggi noodles, the Andhra Pradesh Civil Supplies director Dayakar said the State government so far had not taken any decision on the matter.
