Krishnaiah told TOI on Thursday that the Andhra Pradesh BC Samkshema Sangham which he founded sometime back to defend the safeguards of BCs would meet in Guntur shortly to chalk out a course of action against inclusion of Kapus as BCs. Agnikula Kshatriya Samkshema Sangham in West and East Godavari districts launched an e-mail campaign under the stewardship of its president Barri Prasad. Settibalijas and the other BCs of 5-6 sub-castes staged protests at Rajahmundry and Yeleswaram in East Godavari district a few days ago even as the Kapu iconic figure Mudragada Padmanabham kept mailing letters to Chief Minister N. Chandrababau Naidu for inclusion of his community straight into the BC list without buying time any longer in the name of appointing BC Commission. “When the government is committed to keep its election promise, where is the need for a commission to decide on the issue”, he questioned in a petition submitted to Naidu a couple of days ago.
