Higher Education Principal Secretary Adityanath Das said that NSS volunteers render relentless services during calamities and participate in service activities regularly during their college days which inspire other students.
Addressing the valedictory of the two-day state-level NSS Youth Festival at Adikavi Nannaya University here on Tuesday, Adityanath said that youth should work hard to achieve goal which they set in their lives and stand as role models to others.

Vice-chancellor of the university Prof. Murru Mutyala Naidu said that students from 16 universities had participated in this youth festival and the varsity proved that it can conduct even bigger events than this.
He said that young generation can learn from film actor Tarun, who participated in the programme, that how to respect elders, particularly mother Rojaramani who was also a film star of yesteryears.
He said that Principal Secretary of Higher Education Das had been working in the same department for last 10 years which shows his grip on the department.
Actor Tarun in his speech said that he respects NSS volunteers because of their selfless service and appealed to youth to concentrate on work which they are doing and not to deviate from the main stream.
He complimented local NSS volunteers for taking up programmes like
Veteran actress Rojaramani said that teacher occupies top place still in the society and everyone should respect him as he shapes the society.
All the guests along with vice-chancellor felicitated NSS coordinator Nittala Ravichandra of Nannaya University. The overall championship of NSS state-level competitions was won by Nannaya University.
