Former Rajahmundry MP Vundavalli Arun Kumar has declared that he was ready to prove to the public that the so-called Pattiseema project linking Godavari and Krishna rivers was a big hoax.
Reacting to the challenge of Rajamahendravaram Rural MLA Gorantla Butchaiah Choudary to share open dais to discuss Pattiseema Lift Irrigation Scheme on July 18, Vundavalli said he was ready to come to any place, be it Prakasam barrage or the Krishna delta.
“I will tender apology if my allegations are proved wrong,” he said.
He reminded that he had written several letters to the Chandrababu Naidu government on Pattiseema lift scheme. But there was no response.
He wondered whether Gorantla had thrown the challenge in his individual capacity or on behalf of the state government.
“The MLA has to bring necessary permissions from the government in this regard,” he said.
The former MP questioned as why government prepared a Detailed Project Report (DPR) for PLIS for 20 years, if PLIS was a temporary arrangement.
He alleged that state government sent wrong report to Centre saying only 4.02 tmc ft of water lifted to PLIS last year.
