kakinada sources stated that a 22 years old man from rajahmundry in andhra pradesh was discharged from kakinada government general hospital on friday after successful completion of the treatment and recovery from the coronavirus. The man had tested positive for COVID-19 on march 22, four days after he returned from London.After he completed the treatment, he was subsequently tested negative and discharged from the hospital. He was given a warm welcome by the Member of parliament from kakinada, V. geetha Vishwanath, kakinada City mla, D. chandrasekhar reddy, east godavari district collector, D. muralidhar reddy and Superintendent of police Adnan Nayeem Asmi besides the hospital officials.
He voluntarily went to the hospital in an ambulance after he developed cold, cough and fever. The doctors sent his samples for the Corona test and the result came positive. Speaking to the media after his discharge, the man said,”Doctors used to monitor very closely, assessing my body response to the treatment. I was given course for one week. After one week, they found I had recovered ”.
He said that he had come to rajahmundry fromLondon via dubai . From dubai he reached Rajahmundry. A person travelling along with him had tested positive for Coronovirus. I immediately alerted the medical department authorities, who joined me in government General Hospital in Kakinada. ” I was a bit tensed when I tested positive. I had not travelled outside after I came back from London. My family members were also placed in quarantine at the hospital,” he said. Luckily they all tested negative, he said.The entire staff at the hospital including the sanitation workers worked hard”. The young man urged the people to voluntarily go to hospital when they find symptoms. He also said that COVID-19 is not dangerous as portrayed in the social media. It can be treated if one follows what the doctors suggestions and I am an example of that, he said.
