RAJAHMUNDRY: Four students were washed away in river Godavari in Lankala Gannavaram under P Gannavaram mandal, East Godavari district on Sunday.
All the boys might have ventured into the river for bathing in the evening.
The family members of the boys have started searching for them as they did not come back to their homes till night.
The relatives have found the clothes, chappals, and cycle on the banks of river Godavari on Sunday night.
It is suspected that the four boys were drowned in the river accidentally.
As the place where the accident took place is on the border between East and West Godavari districts, the police of both the districts have searched for the missing boys namely Bandaru Naveen Kumar, Yerramsetty Ratnasagar, Panthala Pavan, and Khandavalli Vinay.
As the water flow was heavy in the river, the search operation was stopped in night.
The bodies of Bandaru Naveen Kumar, Yerramsetty Ratnasagar, and Panthala Naveen were reprieved from the river on Monday morning.
The search is going on for the body of Khandavalli Vinay.
