Hyderabad: Burglars gained entry into the house of a retired private employee and escaped with Rs 2 lakh worth property at Malakpet on Sunday. The incident happened at Shalivanahana Nagar in Malakpet.
According to Malakpet inspector (Detective) D Nanu Naik, the victim’s family went to their native place near Rajahmundry in East Godavari district of Andhra Pradesh on Saturday. “On Sunday, neighbours called and informed that the main door lock was broken and the house was ransacked. The victim’s relatives, who live nearby, went to the house and checked the belongings and noticed that four tola gold chain in the almairah was stolen,” the inspector said.
The offenders gained entry into the house by breaking the main door lock and they forcibly opened the almirah. The victim’s family is yet to reach the city. Based on the complaint lodged by the relative of the victim, police registered a case.
